In the last game of the regular season, the Tornados had to defend their second place in the table against direct rivals Evry Ivry. The Tornados narrowly won the first leg in the Parisian suburb 3:2. As a result, it was going to be really exciting again today for the final points.

The game at the Kockelscheuer was well attended with more than 500 spectators and everyone was looking forward to an exciting showdown.

The Tornados were the dominant team right from the start and the team's former captain, Colm CANNON, put the Tornados ahead after just over 13 minutes. The Tornados immediately made it clear in the second period that they had no intention of merely managing this lead, but continued to play on the attack. This option was to pay off in the second period with 5 more goals.  Four different players scored for the Tornados in the middle period (2x Leonard, Holodkoks, Dahlgren and MauerR). Victory and thus second place in the table seemed to be within reach for the Tornados. In the third and final period, the Tornados came right back and Connor Leoanrd managed to beat the Evry Ivry goalkeeper 3 more times, adding a total of 5 goals to his account. The goalkeeper, Jesse Miquel, could also be very satisfied with his performance today, because thanks to numerous good saves and the reliable work of his defencemen, he remains flawless today.

The Tornados finished the main round in second place in the group with a 9-0 win on home ice. Now it's time to take the momentum of the main round into the play-offs. The Tornados' opponent has not yet been decided. The answer will be given on the evening of 2 March after the match between Briançon and Nîmes from Group D. Possible opponents are Dijon or Briançon for 1st round which will be a ranking game (match d’interclassement). This means that our Tornados are already guaranteed a place in the last 16. More to come.
