The HC Metz visited the Tornado Luxembourg on October 25th in the Patinoire Kockelscheuer, where the HC Metz stumbled in a 6-0 loss. For the Tornados, it was a very important win against a team that played in Division 2 last year, mainly because it was the first time in the last five matchups between these two teams that the Tornados could take home a win.

The home team was dominant throughout the first period. Bob Schneider opened the scoring for the hosts at 4:23. Teemu Hinkula scored another goal for the hosts at 17:07 on a pass by Emil Folkesson. At the end of the first, the score was 2-0, giving the home team the lead.

The home team didn't change it's game and hold on to the lead during the second period. The hosts continued their run, as Teemu Hinkula scored the 3-0. The hosts kept their pace and Sacha Backes scored only 1 minute later on a feed from Ronny Scheier. With 2 periods played, the score was 4-0.

The hosts proved to be the better team and held on to their lead throughout the last period. At 44:30, François Schons scored another goal for the Tornado Luxembourg on a feed from Colm Cannon. The hosts kept the momentum on their side, as Pit Sinner scored only 2 minutes later after being assisted by Marcus Eriksson. At the final whistle, the score was 6-0. "Due to the short shifts we managed to work hard throughout the whole 60 minutes. We were much better on our skates than the opponent and they got more and more tired during the game. It looks like our good training starts to pay off now. If we can keep the same working attitude and take less penalties, I think we will have a good chance to win on Saturday. And of course we will need the support from our fans too!", said Teemu Hinkula of the Tornado Luxembourg.

Topscorer of the game was Teemu Hinkula of the Tornado Luxembourg with 2 points. Out of these two teams' last 5 encounters, HC Metz won 80% of the games (4 out of 5). The Tornado Luxembourg will play their next game on October 27th against the Dijon II.
