Tornado earns thin cushion against Mulhouse in playoff first leg
Our Tornados travelled to Mulhouse last Saturday for the first leg of the D3 1/8th-finals. The aim was obviously to put ourselves in the best possible shape to face the return leg on Saturday April 20 (19:00) with confidence. With a 4-2 victory, and a 2-goal lead, we could say that mission was more or less accomplished. In terms of match content, however, the Blues can do much better in every respect. Undoubtedly, a full and serious week of training should bring back the bond that was missing on Saturday. This will be essential if we are to avoid a scare against a Mulhouse side who probably showed more desire, with an excellent goalkeeper who could weigh heavily on the result. With their 5-1 victory over Bordeaux II, Anglet II erased the setback of the first leg (1-3) and booked their place in the quarter-finals. The question now is who, Mulhouse or Tornado, will face the Basques in the 1/4 final. The answer on Saturday.Your presence will count in that answer. A boiling hot Kockelscheuer will be a major asset for our boys. We're counting on you! Get your ticket: Click here!
