Corsaires Dunkerque II Loses To Tornado Luxembourg, 2-4

The Tornado Luxembourg visited the Corsaires Dunkerque II on February 1st in the Patinoire M. Raffoux, where the host was outplayed 2-4. With that, the Tornado Luxembourg could celebrate their 3rd straight win. The 120 spectators attending the game were offered a great show.



The first period was a very promising one. Sacha Backes scored the opening goal of the game for the guests at 7:35 on a pass by Yannick Hamri. Aurélien Zajac brought his team back to the game by scoring the tying goal after being assisted by Martin Debruyne. At the end of the first period, both teams were tied with a 1-1 score.



The visiting team started taking over the game in the second period.At 20:31, Marcus Eriksson scored the 2nd goal for the Tornado Luxembourg after being assisted by Julien Dequidt. At 33:07, it was Yannick Hamri who put the puck in the net again for the guests. With 2 periods played, the score was 1-3.



The last period ended quite spectacularly with a score of 4-2, with the last goal for Tornado scored by Mickael Richard.



Aurélien Zajac, Mickael Richard and Yannick Hamri were the best scorers of the game with 2 points each. The Corsaires Dunkerque II now won 2 out of the last five home games whereas the Tornado Luxembourg won 4 out of the last five games on the road. With yet another win, the Tornado Luxembourg continue their winning record over the Corsaires Dunkerque II, as they now won all of these two team's last 4 encounters. The Corsaires Dunkerque II will play their next game on February 8th against the Cergy II, whereas the Tornado Luxembourg meet with the Valenciennes on February 8th.
