On October 13th in the Patinoire Kockelscheuer in Luxembourg, the Puckers Luxembourg played the Tornado Luxembourg, where the Puckers Luxembourg were resoundingly defeated 0-9 by their guest.

The visiting team was stronger than their opponent in the first period. Toni Jakubse scored the opening goal of the game for the guests at 12:05. "Our game strategy was to keep the young and fast Tornado squad away from the slot and let them skate to the outside and ourselves wait for breakaway chances. It actually worked in the first period and we came close to scoring the first goal against a sharp Gilles Mangen.", Yves Barthels of the Puckers Luxembourg said. At the end of the first, the visiting team was leading 0-1.

The visiting team didn't give up on the lead and kept dominating the game throughout the second period. Colm Cannon put another goal on the sheet for the guests at 24:27 on a pass by Teemu Hinkula. Only 2 minutes later, Pierre-Alexandre Cauchois added another goal to the sheet. Another goal came at 30:50, when Bob Linster scored for the guests. The guests kept the momentum on their side, as Sacha Backes scored only 33 seconds later. Ronny Scheier of the Tornados had the following to say: "Our team had a hard time getting into the game, but as soon as we opened the scoring, we got back to our usual rythm leading to increased offense and scoring". With two periods played, the score was 0-5.

The visitors proved to be the better team and held on to their lead throughout the last period. Colm Cannon put another goal on the sheet for the guests at 45:07 on an assist by Emil Folkesson. Another goal followed shortly after, as Sacha Backes scored the 8th goal for his team. At 59:40, Colm Cannon scored another goal for the Tornado Luxembourg. The guests kept the momentum on their side, as Emil Folkesson scored only 8 seconds later. "In the second and third, they simply overpowered us and we had fatigue that kept us from sticking to the tight and disciplined game it takes to keep a stronger opponent at bay! They were simply better, but the final score was a bit too high. ", Yves Barthels of the Puckers Luxembourg said. At the final whistle, the score was 0-9.

Colm Cannon and Emil Folkesson of the Tornado Luxembourg were the topscorers of the game with 3 points each. On October 20th the Puckers Luxembourg will face the IHC Beaufort 1, whilst for the Tornado Luxembourg, the Gaulois Chalons will be next on October 20th.
