Tornado Chasing First Home Win Against Châlons-en-Champagne
26th October 2024
Tornado Luxembourg
After an impressive victory in Dijon, Tornado Luxembourg is aiming to secure their first home win this Saturday as they face a well-known opponent, Châlons-en-Champagne, in Kockelscheuer.
Both teams were promoted to Division 2 this season and have started their campaigns similarly, each with 2 wins and 1 loss. This matchup promises to be a tight contest between two teams eager to build momentum in their new division.
In Tornado’s last game, it was encouraging to see more players contributing offensively. Particularly exciting was #96 Filip Cháb, who scored twice. Cháb, who led Amnéville in scoring last season, is showing why Tornado fans have high hopes for him, with his strong skating and offensive flair. Familiar faces like Adrian Maurer and Vesa Hirvonen also made their mark on the scoresheet, continuing their consistent performances.
Châlons-en-Champagne, traditionally known for relying on skilled Czech and Slovak imports, has taken a different approach this season. Their top scorers are now Finnish newcomers, bringing a northern European influence to the team’s attack.
The puck drops today at 19:00 in Kockelscheuer. Another thrilling game is expected, so be sure to come out and support Tornado as they push for that all-important first home victory!
This match will be an opportunity for the Tornado family to show their support for Think Pink Luxembourg. Think Pink Luxembourg is a Luxembourg registered ASBL formed in October 2009 by a small group of volunteers whose lives have been touched by cancer either directly or through their families and friends. The purpose is simple; to support women living in Luxembourg with the day to day reality of cancer.
