Keep going or call it? Tornado Travels to Roanne to Keep the Season Alive!

The margin for error is officially zero. This Saturday, March 7th, Tornado Luxembourg heads to France to face the Renards de Roanne in Game 2 of the Division 2 Playoffs Round of 16.
It is the ultimate test of character: win, or the 2025-2026 season comes to an end.

The Blueprint: Build on the Third Period
In Game 1 at Kockelscheuer, Roanne demonstrated exactly why they were a top-three team in Group B, capitalizing on a dominant second period to secure a 6-3 victory. But the story of that game wasn't just the final score—it was Tornado’s refusal to quit.

Facing a daunting 5-1 deficit, Tornado rallied in the final 20 minutes. With goals from Nolan Eriksson, Greg Holodkovs, and Colm Cannon, the boys proved that when they find their rhythm and impose their physical, "blue working dress" style of play, they can absolutely crack Roanne's defensive code.
That third period is the blueprint for Saturday. Tornado knows the pace, they know the opponent, and they know they can score against them. Now, they just need to execute it for a full 60 minutes.

Going into a hostile playoff environment requires total sacrifice, and Tornado showed plenty of that last weekend. Coach Eriksson specifically praised his defense, who played the entire game with only five guys due to injuries.
