Tornado Luxembourg Struggles in Close 3-4 Loss To Epinal Dauphins II

On October 6th in their own building, the Tornado Luxembourg played the Epinal Dauphins II, where the Tornado Luxembourg suffered a close 3-4 loss.



It was the visiting team who set the tone in the first period. It was Nathan Ganz who opened the scoring for the guests at 1:10 on a pass by Guillaume Papelier. Gregory Zitouni scored another goal 12 minutes later on an assist by Nathan Ganz. At 19:55, it was Yvan Charpentier who put the puck in the net again for the guests after being assisted by Guillaume Chassard. At the end of the first, the score was 0-3 for the benefit of the visiting team.



The visiting team didn't give up on the lead and kept dominating the game throughout the second period. The guests continued their run, as Guillaume Chassard scored the 4th goal for Epinal. With 2 periods played, the score was 0-4.



In the final period, the visiting team kept working and managed to cut down the difference on the scoreboard, but the answer simply came too late. The 1-4 was scored by Marcus Eriksson on a pass by Bob Schneider and Ronny Scheier. Sacha Backes scored another goal for the Tornados at 51:15. Another goal came at 56:10, when Colm Cannon scored for the hosts. At the final whistle, the score was 3-4.



Topscorer of the game was Guillaume Papelier of the Epinal Dauphins II with 3 points. Out of these two teams' last 7 encounters, Epinal Dauphins II won 57.14% of the games (4 out of 7). The Tornado Luxembourg will play their next game on October 20th against the Gaulois Chalons.
